Platform

One SDK. A real engine underneath.

RealityOS pairs a Rust engine that renders with WebGPU with a TypeScript SDK in the idioms three.js developers already know. Multiplayer, 3D assets and on-device AI come built in.A WebGPU engine and one TypeScript SDK, with sync and on-device AI built in.

Engine

Rendered with WebGPU

A compact Rust core does the heavy work: rendering, the scene, assets and sync. It compiles to WebAssembly for the browser and to native code for desktop.A Rust core, compiled for the browser and for desktop.

  • Compressed 3D assetsglTF models with compressed textures load fast and stay small.Fast assets. Compressed glTF.

Code that feels familiar

The SDK is the only thing anyone programs against: apps, tools and agents alike. Scenes, meshes, lights and cameras work the way three.js developers expect.Scenes, meshes and lights, the way three.js developers expect.

Shared scenes, in sync

Everyone in an app sees the same scene. Apps declare which parts are shared, and our sync service on the edge sends only what changed.Everyone sees the same scene. Only changes travel.

  • Declared, not wiredMark what is shared; the SDK keeps it in sync.Declared. Mark what is shared.

  • People and agents togetherAn AI agent can change the same scene people are in.Together. People and agents, one scene.

Built into the engine

Vision and audio models run in the engine on the user's own GPU and CPU. Camera and microphone data stay on the device.Runs on the device. Camera and mic data stay there.

Person cut-out

Removes the background from a camera feed on the GPU.

Face and head

Finds faces and follows head pose.

Hand gestures

Recognises hand gestures for control.

Auto-framing

Keeps a person well framed as they move.

Clean speech

Removes background noise from the microphone.

Where it comes from

Years of engine work underneath

The RealityOS engine started as the TMRW Engine, which ran ROOM and AiredTV in the browser. Today's engine is its successor, rebuilt for WebGPU and for coding agents. It started as the TMRW Engine behind ROOM and AiredTV.

  1. Then

    TMRW Engine

C++ and WebGL. Ran ROOM and AiredTV.

  2. Now

    RealityOS engine and SDK

A Rust core on WebGPU, one TypeScript SDK. HOLOH is moving onto it; IndieBox and Plasmon Studio are building on it.
